HE the Chief of Staff Lauds Outcomes of Exercise Ferocious Falcon (3)

Doha, November 19 (QNA) - The attendance of HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Senior Leaders and COSs (Chiefs Of Staff) Seminar for Exercise Ferocious Falcon (3), is a major sign of success for the exercise, HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah said here on Monday. The exercise was carried out by the Qatari Armed Forces along with a number of friendly countries' forces from November 6-9. The seminar, held today at the Ritz Carlton Doha Hotel, included a review of the operations conducted by the Qatari Armed Forces and those from the participating countries during the exercise. In statements to reporters today on the sidelines of the Seminar, HE Al Attiyah said there has been a wide participation from a number of friendly countries' forces at the exercise, expressing, in the meantime, his full satisfaction at the participating military forces in the exercise. He added that the countries which participated in the drill came out carrying great impressions adding that Qatar's armed forces gained a major experience through the exercise. He thanked all those who participated in the exercise and stressed that the drill aims at sending a peaceful message that shows the coherence of the forces of the participating countries to face any threat. Meanwhile, Staff Brigadier (Pilot) Abdullah Juman Al Hamad, leader of Exercise Ferocious Falcon (3) and Head of National Defense and Crisis Management said the success of the exercise is thanks to the unlimited support from HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. He also hailed the efforts of HE Al Attiyah and the cooperation of the different bodies of the state which facilitated the fulfillment of the exercise scenarios as required. For his part, First Deputy Defence Minister of Belarus, Major General Piotr Tikhonovsky lauded the Qatar-Belarus relations. He said the two countries are enjoying a high-level relation which is thanks to the leadership of both countries. He said these excellent relationships encouraged Belarus to take part in the Exercise Ferocious Falcon (3) noting to the great discipline the Belarus forces showed during the exercise. Major General Piotr Tikhonovsky expressed his country's keenness to participate in future exercise which will certainly enhance the Belarus-Qatar relations. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Yurii Dumanskyi said that Qatar Ukraine relations are developing on a high level. "The (exercise) scenario was very deep and thorough and of course it shows the challenges of our time and we saw the multinational forces are capable of (facing) those challenges," he said. "The military men have shown a very good level of skills and professionalism and also their ability to act and communicate within multinational dimensions during the exercise." Dumanskyi added. Pakistan's Minister of Defense, Syed Naveed Qamar also hailed the Exercise Ferocious Falcon (3), emphasized his country's wide participation in the exercises. (END)
