Sidra to Host International Conference on Pediatric Excellence in 2013

Doha, November 18 (QNA) - The fifth annual Excellence in Paediatrics Conference will take place in Doha on December 4-7, 2013 at the Qatar National Convention Center, Sidra Medical and Research Center announced Sunday. The conference, held in the Middle-East for the first time, will bring together academics of international reputation, scientists and clinicians to share the best practices of improving care for pediatric patients. This year's conference, hosted by Sidra, is expected to be one of the largest international pediatric conferences of the year with more than 3000 professionals participating from 98 countries. Chief Medical Officer at Sidra Medical and Research Center commented on the occasion and said that the conference was "an important forum for those at the frontline of delivering pediatric healthcare." He said that the conference also allows scientists and academics to convey the latest insights in the world on children's healthcare. He added that Sidra was "excited" at the opportunity of sharing the vision of the medical and research center with the participants. US-based pediatrician and Chairman of Excellence in Pediatrics said that the conference emerged in the last four years as one of the "biggest and best" general pediatric congresses in Europe.
