HE Sheikh Joaan Meets International Handball Federation President

Doha, November 13 (QNA) - HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship (Doha 2015) met today President of the International Handball Federation Dr. Hassan Moustafa. The meeting was attended by Ahmed Mohammed Al Shaabi, President of Qatar Handball Association and Executive Director of Doha 2015 and the First Vice President of the International Handball Federation Miguel ROCA. HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani welcomed the visit of the President of the International Handball Federation and its Vice President to Doha at the invitation of the organizing committee of the 15th Asian Handball Clubs League Championship 2012 which concludes after tomorrow, Thursday, and is being hosted by El Jaish Club. During the meeting, they discussed the latest preparations by Doha to host the World Handball Cup in 2015. The organizing committee gave detailed explanation of the action plan for hosting the event as well as the arrangements undertaken by the organizing committee to hold this important global event. The representatives of the International Handball Federation were impressed by the detailed explanation, which included all the details on lounges that are being constructed specifically for the World Cup, according to the conditions and requirements and standards of the Federation. The organizing committee also revealed during the meeting that the launch of ticket sales for Doha 2015 will be during the Handball World Cup in Spain in January next year. (QNA)
