Prime Minister Praises Syrian Opposition Agreement

Doha, November 11 (QNA) - Following is the speech of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, and Chairman of the Arab Committee on Syria after the signing of the Doha agreement on the results of the Syrian opposition meeting tonight: Their Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen: " In the life of nations and peoples there are moments where those who are characterized by wisdom and vision are to take responsibility and who also are the first that must meet the courage to make the crucial decisions that comply with attitude and to disdain over all forms of division and intolerance" he said. "Based on our responsibilities with along with brethren Arabs and friends towards the Syrian people in its current ordeal I had not any doubt, when we sent you the invitation to hold this meeting that you would highlight your country's interest and the interest of the Syrian people as a focus of your dialogue and debate" Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim noted. He said : " There is no doubt that the whole world, particularly the brotherly Syrian people had been following during the last two your efforts for reaching a decision to help the Syrian people in achieving its legitimate goals. HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim said: " It is a fact to say that the culmination of your meeting by agreement came to prove to your people and to the international community your keenness on the success of your revolution in order to achieve your legitimate rights" "And it's also a fact to say that we appreciate the spirit and dedication in which you held your dialogue". I would like also to extend thanks to Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Dr. Khaled Mohammad Al-Attiyah, and Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs HE Ali bin Fahd Al Hajri and Assistant Minister for Service Affairs HE Rashid bin Khalifa al Khalifa for their efforts to ensure the success of this meeting, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim noted . HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister wished the success of Syrian revolution, saying that all efforts will spared in the Arab countries, Turkey and Syrian friends as well as international partners to provide assistance to the Syrian people to attain their legitimate rights. An important work has been done, His Excellency said, while stressing the importance of the upcoming endeavors. There will be failures and frustration, but your lofty goal to liberate your country must be upheld, he said. HE the Prime Minister and Foreign concluded his speech by conveying to the Syrian groups the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as their wishes for the success of the agreement and success in their revolution.
