Health Minister Lauds HH the Emir's Speech before Advisory Council

Doha, November 06 (QNA) - HE Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani, Minister of Public Health and Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Health, has lauded the speech given by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani during the inauguration of the 41st ordinary session of the Advisory Council today, and also underlined HH the Emir's endeavors to achieve a quantum leap in the level of services provided by the State in health and education sectors. HE Al Qahtani said that the huge increase of investment in the health sector, which raised to 114% over the next three years, reflected the unlimited support attached by the leadership to this vital sector. It will enable us to make a quantum leap in this sector and will help us transform Qatar into a center of medical care in the region, HE the Minister stressed. In 2011, the health sector guided by the Qatar National Vision 2030 launched the National Health Strategy, the National Cancer Strategy and other ambitious plans and programs that will develop health services and upgrading them to international standards, he added.
