Qatar Supports Performance of Arab Parliament

Cairo, November 06 (QNA) - Qatar has underlined its keenness to back efforts to improve the performance of the Arab Parliament for its significant role in supporting the aspirations of the Arab peoples towards freedom and democracy. Qatar considers that the Arab Parliament in its permanent form will contribute increasingly to the joint Arab action in all political, economic and social spheres, said today Dr. Aisha Yusuf Al Mannai, Vice President of the Arab Parliament . Dr. Al Mannai,who represents Qatar in the eighth meeting of the Office of the Arab Parliament, currently in session here, said the meetings over three days are to feature a host of issues concerning the development of Parliamentary system in preparation for the announcement the Arab Parliament in its permanent status in the next few weeks, in addition to a number of issues related to the developments in the region.(QNA)
