Qatar's Attorney General Meets UK Official

Doha, November 06 (QNA) - HE Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, the Attorney General of Qatar, conferred here on Tuesday with UK's Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, Alistair Burt. They exchanged viewpoints on a set of legal issues of mutual concern and the next presidency of the G-8 by the United Kingdom next year. The two sides also discussed how best to enhance ties of joint cooperation on restoration of stolen assets of the arab spring countries. It is worth to mention that the United Nations has named HE Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, as the UN Special Advocate on Stolen Asset Recovery. The announcement was made by Yury Fedotov, the Executive Director of UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) at the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Working Group on Asset Recovery in Vienna on August 30 and 31.
