Manama supports Iranian nuclear program

Chairman of Bahraini Legislature Upper House, Ali bin Saleh al-Saleh,
said on Wednesday that pursuance of peaceful nuclear energy is legal
and legitimate right of all world states, including Iran.

Talking to reporters, he said Manama supports the Islamic Republic of
Iran's nuclear program for peaceful purposes.

Bahrain shares identical view with member states of the Persian Gulf
Cooperation Council about Iranian nuclear program, al-Saleh reiterated.

Manama believes that there should be an international
cooperation to settle the existing problems in the region, he added.

He said that the Middle East should be free from weapons of mass
destruction, underlining the need for refraining from nuclear arms
race in the region.

"Arms race will benefit none of the regional states."
