Madonna to remain in London with kids

Madonna plans to continue living in London with her three children despite the
breakdown of her marriage to British film director Guy Ritchie.
There have been reports that the queen of pop planned to move to New York once the
divorce was finalised.
But sources close to Madonna insisted she would stay in London with daughter
Lourdes, 12, Rocco, seven and David, two.
"Everyone expected Madonna to up sticks and go and live in New York, taking the
children with her," one source told the Daily Mirror.
"But despite some of the unhappy memories that London holds, she still feels that
it's the best base for the kids.
"They are happy at school and she doesn't want anything to interfere with that.
"While she will still spend a lot of time away from Britain like she does at the
moment, any suggestion she's turning her back on Britain for good are false."
Madonna and Ritchie own four London properties together as well as a pub, a STG10
million ($A24.9 million) country estate, and homes in Los Angeles and New York.
Meanwhile, other reports suggested Madonna believed Ritchie only married her for her
massive fortune and that the 50-year-old singer was keen to have another child,
despite her age.
Madonna reportedly told friends that Ritchie was "a gold digger".
"I thought we'd been on a spiritual journey together for the past 10 years - but
obviously I was wrong," The Sun newspaper said she told a friend.
"He's just after my money."
The Daily Mail newspaper claimed that Madonna hoped to have a natural child with
American baseball player Alex Rodriguez, 33.
The newspaper said the singer was planning a future with Rodriguez, who divorced his
wife last year.
"She thinks he's physically a great specimen," a friend of the singer's told the
newspaper.
"And if she is going to have another child, he would be the ideal man to bring one
to her."
