Doha Prepares to Host FINA Swimming World Cup

Doha, September 14 (QNA) - Qatar Swimming Association's (QSA) while preparing for hosting the FINA-ARENA Swimming World Cup (SWC) Doha 2012 on October 6, moved forward with the naming of partners to help organise the top event of the swimming world. Doha will host the Swimming World Cup on Oct.6-7 at the Hamad Aquatic Center in the Aspire Zone, the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) said. QSA President Khaleel Al Jabir and SWC Event Advisor Petros Tsiallas announced to the media the names of event partners earlier this week at the QOC premises. "The QSA is now in the final stages of organising the Swimming World Cup and we have joined hands with the right partners," said Al Jabir. "I am confident that they will carry out their duties conforming to the highest international standards and uphold our reputation. I hope they will work closely with the organizing committee which has put emphasis on ensuring the SWC will be organized matching professional standards." The event partners are Innovations LT for the Sport Presentation and Medal Ceremonies Services, The Look Company for the Event Branding, Group 8 for the Event Design, Myrtha for the Competition Pool Bulkhead, Malmsten for Sports Equipment, Wyndham Grand Regency Doha Hotel for Accommodation and Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) for Event Insurance. FINA, the International Swimming Federation, has announced that Doha will host this prestigious event in 2012 and 2013. As host of the top swimming event in the world, Doha is set to become a part of an elite group of cities that have had the honour to organize this event. (QNA)
