Qatar to Attend 16th GCC Justice Undersecretaries' Meeting

Doha, September 03 (QNA) - Qatar will take part in 16th meeting of the GCC Justice Undersecretaries, scheduled to be held in Riyadh tomorrow, Tuesday. Justice Undersecretary Sultan bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi left Doha today for Riyadh to preside over Qatar's delegation in the meeting. The two-day meeting aims at extending the impressive efforts done throughout the previous meetings to lay the groundwork of a revitalized law and judicial system within the GCC countries, HE Al Suwaidi told Qatar News Agency (QNA) today. This year, the meeting's agenda includes some pressing issues as the GCC unified judicial system, the ministerial declaration related to the GCC overseas prisoners, in addition to the GCC justice ministers' declaration pertaining to mandating the guiding documentation systems, he said. HE Al Suwaidi also said they will discuss several briefings including one made by a specialists committee assigned to examine the idea of establishing a GCC Family Guidance center and another regarding a pact that deals with exchanging criminals between GCC countries.
