Russia leads Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy of CIS member states

The head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Igor Artemyev has led the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy of the CIS member states.
The representative from Russia has led the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy for two years. Previously, Majid Esambayev served as chairman of the Kazakh Agency on Protection of Competition.
A new chairman was elected at the 36th council meeting in Baku on Thursday.
The next meeting of the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy will be held in Ukraine in autumn which will receive the co-chairmanship of the council from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan was elected co-chairman of the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy in Almaty in October 2011.
Over 50 representatives of the antimonopoly bodies of the CIS countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Belarus and Tajikistan, as well as the CIS executive committee and the organisation of non-profit partnership 'Promoting Competition in the CIS countries' attended the event in Baku.
