Turkey permits petrol transit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 13 / Trend A. Taghiyeva / Turkey has given permission to transit petrol and diesel fuel from Georgia to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through its own territory, Turkish Resmi Gazete reported today. Permission has been given for three years and transit can be made by both railway and cars. Surrounded by Iran, Turkey and Armenia, the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic has been deprived of a rail and motorway with the rest Azerbaijan since the early 1990s. Previously, communication was implemented through Armenia, which was interrupted after the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Do you have any feedback? Contact our journalist at agency@trend.az
