Georgia, Latvia deepen military cooperation

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 12 / Trend, N.Kirtskhalia / Georgian First Deputy Defense Minister Nodar Kharshiladze and Secretary of Defense of Latvia, Janis Sarts discussed deepening military cooperation in Tbilisi. The Georgian side briefed the Latvian guest about the reforms, which are carried out by the defense ministry in order to meet NATO standards. Sarts and Kharshiladze discussed Latvia's capabilities to assist the Georgian armed forces to meet NATO standards. Sarts also met with Deputy Defense Minister Andro Barnov and Rector of the Academy of Georgian Defense Ministry David Nadaraya. Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Georgia's Defense Ministry Academy and Defence University of Latvia. Do you have any feedback?
