Turkish banking sector's assets increase by 17 percent

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 7 /Trend, A.Taghiyeva / Assets of banking sector of Turkey increased by 17.4 percent and amounted to 1.255 billion lira in April 2012 compared to the same month of 2011, Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) of Turkey said in its report on Thursday. Profit of the Turkish banking sector increased by 10.7 percent in April 2012 and amounted to 7.663 billion lira compared to the same month of 2011. In April 2012 the share of inactive loans in banking sector grew by 5.2 percent, the portfolio in securities - by 0.5 percent compared to the same month of 2011.
