Kazakhstan, China sign agreement on border checkpoints

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 6 / Trend E. Kosolapova/ Kazakh and Chinese governments signed an agreement on border checkpoints between the two countries and terms of its operation, Kazakh presidential press-service reported. The agreement was signed following the meeting of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao on Wednesday. Moreover, the parties agreed on the further development of strategic partnership. "I am confident that your visit will give an additional impetus to development and strengthening of the Kazakh-Chinese relations and strategic partnership. We are ready to exchange views on the development and strengthening of our relations and other important issues of mutual interest," Hu Jintao said at the meeting.
