Minister: Bid by Azerbaijan and Georgia to hold European Football Championship to be successful

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 5 / Trend M. Aliyev / Considering Azerbaijan and Georgia's application to jointly hold the European Football Championship in 2020, it should be successful, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov told media today. He said that about 1.5 billion manat have been recently invested in the material-technical base of sport in Azerbaijan. "A stadium for 80,000 seats is being built in Baku today," he said. "Azerbaijan is a sport country. Therefore, Azerbaijan is able to host the European and world level competitions," he said.
