CNA-Q to Host Cosmopolitan Artists at the 2nd Visual Arts Symposium

Doha,May 09 (QNA) -The College of the North Atlantic in Qatar (CNA-Q) announced Wednesday it will launch its 2nd Annual Visual Arts Symposium tomorrow through 11 days. Called "Many Colors, One World", the Visual Arts Symposium will embrace visual artists from Qatar and artists coming from across the globe, as UK, Iraq, India, Syria, Sudan, Sultanate of Oman, France and Hong Kong to feature their art pieces at CNA-Q's Studio. "The Visual Arts Symposium aims at boosting cultural and art cooperation between Qatari artists and their peers from across the globe" Dr. Ken MacLeod, President of CNA-Q said. The event allows CNA-Q students a unique chance to participate with the creme de la creme of the visual artists in Qatar. Dr. MacLeod said "This will help enhance student s skills, professionalism and raise their cultural and knowledge potentials" He noted the CNA-Q is being keen on getting its students engaged with the local community through the varying activities it presents them. The event will gather notable art minds from Qatar as Hassan Al Haddad, Jawaher Al-Mannai, Maryam Al Sada, Mubarak Al Malek and Masoud Al Baloushy along with other visual artists around the world as Mohammad Hamza from UK and Australian artist Phillip Howe. Open art critiques and group discussions will be held on the sidelines of the Symposium. (QNA)
