Qatar to Participate in International Conference on Women's Sports

Doha, April 07 (QNA) - senior delegation from Qatar s Women Sport Committee (QWSC) is scheduled to take part in the International Conference on Women s Sports, due to be held in Abu Dhabi on April 10. The two-day conference will be held under the slogan "Sports: Health and Happiness" at the Emirates Palace Hotel. The event will be attended by prominent local, regional and international sport personalities related to women s sports, and will be the first of its kind in the Middle East. The conference will be held to help emphasizing the importance of practicing women s sport activities, reflect the role of practicing sports in improving the physical, psychological and social aspects of women s lives, and reflect the importance of using sport practicing as a lifestyle. It will also emphasize the role of women s associations to encourage the practicing of sport activities, increase the awareness of women about the importance of practicing sport activities and how to avoid and neglect any negative remarks and comments they face when they practice sport activities, and to reflect the role of media to encourage women to practice sport activities.
