Environment Minister Announces 170 Job Opportunities for Qataris

Doha, April 01 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Environment Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Aabboud Al-Moudadi announced that the ministry now has 170 job opportunities for Qatari Nationals in the disciplines of chemistry, physics, Quality and standards in addition to agriculture, environment and fisheries. HE the Minister told reporters today on the occasion of the opening of the Qatar Career Fair 2012, that the participation of the Ministry of Environment in this exhibition aims, like any other ministry, to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030 and work to meet the ministry's needs of national staff in all disciplines in addition to preparing them to do their jobs. On the ratio of Qatarization in the Ministry, HE the Minister said that the Ministry of Environment in one of the most Qatarization - seeking ministries, noting that a ratio of Qatarization in the ministry is very high and most of its staff are Qataris, and also that the ministry sent a large group of employees on scholarships abroad, during the past two years, who will compete in the labor market after their return. On the percentage of jobs reserved for women in the ministry, HE Minister Al-Moudadi said that the Ministry of Environment does not allocate a certain percentage of jobs for men or women, stressing that the selection criteria are efficiency and competence. About training and development opportunities provided by the Ministry to its staff, HE the Minister pointed to the existence of an annual program of training that was approved by the Institute of Management Development, and that in addition to the local training programs there are also external programs in cooperation with international organizations to raise the efficiency of staff.
