Seven more solid waste plants to be built by 2020
Hanoi (VNA) - Seven inter-provincial solid waste treatment facilities will
be constructed throughout the country between now and 2020, under a master
plan approved by the Prime Minister on October 6.
The construction, which will have a total investment of nearly 9.7 trillion
VND (around 598 million USD), is expected to improve the efficiency in the
treatment of solid waste, particularly harmful ones, to help ensure urban
areas and industrial zones develop in a stable and sustainable manner.
According to the plan, certified domestic recycling technology will be
prioritised in solid waste treatment and all economic sectors will be
encouraged to join in the field.-Enditem
