Promoting Lao kip use
(KPL) The Bank of Laos and Vientiane Administration Office held here last week a meeting to disseminate the regulations, decrees and legal documents of the government on controlling foreign currencies and promoting the use of Lao kip.
Present at the meeting were Governor of the Bank of Laos, Mr. Phouphet Khamphounvong, and Vientiane Mayor, Mr. Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, as well as 400 relevant officials and business people.
The meeting also assessed the interpretation of such legal mechanisms by concern officials. The mayor of Vientiane has urged the participants to promote the implementation of the documents and disseminate them at their workplaces.
