Karbala PC adopts new decisions on the backgrounds of last Sunday’s bombings


Karbala (NINA) – Security Committee in the Karbala Provincial Council announced that the council adopted a number of decisions to prevent repetition of last Sunday’s bombings.

Sattar Al Ardawi, member of the committee told NINA correspondent that “the council decided to grant the police chief full authorities regarding the personnel transferring and not to allow political parties to interfere or practice pressures on him.”

He added “100 million dinars were allocated; 50 millions of them were allocated to the National Investigations Bureau to develop its work, another 50 million dinars went to the National Security.”

He stressed that the council will adopt severest penalties against the drug dealers and whorehouses, anyone arrested practicing these acts will be deported out of the city.

Karbala, last Sunday, witnessed the blast of a car bomb and a number of IEDs near the jinsiya (national ID card) behind the Governorate HQ leading to tens of casualties. A fact finding committee was formed, and it recommended investigating with the Governor, PC chairman, and security chiefs.
