Foundation to Host Iftar for Indian and Nepalese Communities


Doha, August 18 (QNA) - A Qatari charity group will host two Iftar banquets for Indian and Nepalese communities here Friday evening.
The Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) is organizing two mass Iftars,under the aegis of 'Community Iftar and Brotherhood Programme', at Tariq bin Ziyad School and Gharafa Sports Club for Indian and Nepalese communities respectively.
Officials from RAF and the Ministry of Interior (MoI), Tariq bin Ziyad School Director Hamad Al Mannai, former Indian Hajj Committee vice chairman Alikkutty Musliyar and around 2,000 members from the Indian community will attend the event for the Indian community at Tariq bin Ziyad School located in New Salata area opposite to Omer bin Khatab Health Centre in Mansoura.
The official inauguration of the event and the MoI's security and safety awareness programme will be held before Maghrib prayer.
The Iftar programme for the Nepalese community will start at 3.30 pm at Gharafa Sports Club where Sheikh Salahuddeen Musalman will speak on a Ramadan topic at 5 pm. The programme includes a MoI presentation on security and safety awareness.
Last week, RAF held an Iftar banquet for 1,000 members of the Indonesian community at the Tariq bin Ziyad School. The Charged De Affairs of Indonesian Embassy in Qatar and community leaders attended the event.
The President of Higher Council for Propagators in Indonesia Dr. Ahmed Shatouri gave a talk on the topic 'Love for Allah'. (QNA)
