Baghdad (NINA) – Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi asserted that it is a long way before Iraq to establish a state of justice and equality.

The Vice President’s Media Bureau quoted Hashimi on Wednesday, Aug. 17, addressing the worshipers at Qazazeh Mosque in Zayouna neighborhood, in eastern Baghdad, saying, “The country is slowly moving forward, not at the speed we wish, we still have a long way to go before establishing the state of Justice and equality.

He added, “The task of keeping security and improving the country’s situation is not the responsibility of politician only, it is the responsibility of all.”

Hashimi stressed, “The importance of keeping up the efforts on both public and official levels, toward reforming the unbalanced situation and treating many unpleasant behaviors, reflected in injustice, corruption and irresponsibility by some.”
