Maliki calls on Iraqi businessmen to select high quality Chinese merchandise

Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, urged China to exert efforts to start having the Chinese companies inside Iraq.

A statement issued by Maliki’s office quoted him as saying, during reception of the Chinese ambassador, Chang Be, on the expiry of his term of office in Iraq “our last visit to China unveiled great potentials of the Chinese companies and we are looking forward to benefit from their expertise in Iraq’s reconstruction.”

Maliki called on the Iraqi companies to select the high quality Chinese merchandise, praising the Chinese role supportive to Iraq and its people, stressing that the Iraqi government wishes deepen and enhance ties with China.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his country’s desire to develop bilateral relations, adding that China supports and encourages its companies to get into the Iraqi market and invest in oil, gas, and communications fields.
