Elderly pilot survives ultra-light crash

SYDNEY (AAP) - Aug. 13 - A 77-year-old pilot has escaped unharmed after crashing his ultra-light plane which skidded across a paddock before slamming into a cement-mixing factory.
The pilot had been circling Tyabb Airport, in Melbourne's southeast, at 11am (AEST) on Saturday and attempted to land the plane before hitting the ground.
The plane then skidded across a paddock before crashing into a cement-mixing factory.
The Brighton East man escaped without injury but has been taken to Dandenong Hospital suffering shock.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
