470 mln kip donated through MLS for Haima victims
Vientiane,july 26.(KPL)- As much as 470 million kip has been donated by various organisations and individuals through the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare for assisting the flood victims in six northern and central provinces.
Yesterday, at the Ministry’s premises in Vientiane, the Provincial Administration of Borkeo and the State Printing Enterprise donated 45 million kip for the victims of typhoon Haima.
The donation included 40 million kip from Borkeo province and five million kip from the State Printing Enterprise.
The handover of the donation package was performed by Office Head of the Provincial Administration of Borkeo, Mr. Soubanh Sompasong, and Director of State Printing Enterprise, Mr. Mai-One Thammavong, and Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Onechanh Thammavong.
On June 24-26, typhoon Haima hit Sayaboury, Xiengkhouang, Houaphanh, Vientiane province, Borikhamsay and Khammouane and caused hundreds of billion kips of damage and killed several human lives in the provinces.
