Justice ministry to improve legislations related to women

SANA'A, Sep. 15 (Saba)- Minister of Justice Ghazi Shaif al-Aghbari
confirmed on Monday that the judicial authority is interested in all
women's issues and will improve legislations concerning them.

He made clear that women's employment average in the Ministry of
Justice in the current year reached 50% in the framework of network
link for courts.

During the consultative meeting organized by the Women National
Committee on Monday in Sana'a, he said that women occupied lately
judicial posts as members of the Supreme Court, Personal Status
Department, and prosecution courts.

For her part, chairwoman of the Women National Committee Rashida
al-Hamdani demanded the necessity to acquaint workers of Ministry of
Justice with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of
Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and their quest to equal
treatment without discrimination.
