Maliki hails Iranian companies, renews call for them to enter Iraq’s market

Baghdad (NINA) - Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki renewed invitation to Iranian companies to enter the Iraqi market to participate in the process of construction and reconstruction.

He said, in a speech at the Iraqi-Iranian Businessmen Forum in Baghdad, "this forum asserts that the opportunity is open to the Iranian companies to participate in the reconstruction process," describing the Forum as an important stage and the first step on the right track.

Maliki said "the government of national partnership worked to support the process of building and construction through the development of many of the supporting legislations for investment, and today we are still in need of friendly companies for the development of our industrial and agricultural domains."

He called on brotherly and friendly countries to support Iraq, saying "Iraq needs a stance from its friends and brothers, especially since the circumstances are appropriate for construction and reconstruction.” /End/
