Water levels monitor via satellite for Euphrates installed in Anbar province
Ramadi (NINA) – Dams Department in Fallujah, Anbar Province biggest cities, announced installing new systems to monitor water levels of Euphrates and the lakes via the satellite.
Manager of the department told NINA “the systems were installed in different parts of the river, Habbaniya and Tharthar lakes, and Haditha Dam. These systems will be sending data regarding the water levels via the satellite to a data base in Baghdad.
He added “these systems will help reporting the specialized authorities with dangers of drought or floods and evaluate the water levels in the river and lakes, in addition to studying any urgent case in climate there.”
