Sheikha Moza to Take Part in Security Council Event
New York, June 29 (QNA) - HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, UNESCO Special Envoy for Basic and Higher Education will take part tomorrow in the side event of the Security Council on the theme of attacks on schools and hospitals during armed conflicts, which is organized by Permanent Delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany in cooperation with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General on children and armed conflict.
HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser will deliver a speech on the occasion that will focus on the issues of school children in war situations and armed conflicts.
It is noteworthy that HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser's participation with a number of decison makers in the Security Council, UNESCO, UNICEF and Save the Children Fund, who are interested in the issues of children in conflict zones aims to muster further support to the international mechanism monitoring and international report to also include violent violations on school students shorty before the Security Council's voting on a resolution related to this issue in July.(QNA)
