President Saleh meets government senior leaders

SANA'A, Sep 11 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh presided over
Wednesday a meeting that gathered all the government senior leaders
including political and security chiefs.

The meeting dealt with the issues of the national latest
developments and efforts to rebuild the war-destroyed northern
province of Saada and fighting terrorism and maritime piracy in the
international waters near the gulf of Aden.

The meeting approved a field plan of the leaders to various
governorates to hold Ramadan nights aimed at meeting people to
familiarize themselves with their needs.

The nights will also introduce nationals to political, economic,
security and developmental truths, specifically after great changes
that have occurred after the 2006 presidential and parliamentary
elections.

President Saleh stressed the importance of holding such nights and
meeting people and civil society organizations to close the gaps
and introduce them to the national latest developments and assure
them that the government is doing its responsibilities as it must
do.

President Saleh urged people from all walks of life to cooperate to
build Yemen, achieve stated goals and drop hatred.

President Saleh brought the issue of the upcoming parliamentary
elections saying Yemen is primarying for grand democratic right and
that all Yemeni people should cooperate to bring to success.

President Saleh touched on Yemen efforts to fight terrorism and sea
piracy and hopes that neighboring and international countries
support Yemen in this regard.

President Saleh also urged media and cultural institutions to bear
their responsibilities to establish national intellectual and
cultural awareness and cover issues accurately.
