Cattle owners advised to get animals vaccinated

Hyderabad, June 22, 2011 (PPI): Director Animal Husbandry Sindh Hyderabad has notified for all the livestock owners that due to expected monsoon rains in the province immunity of the animal could be lowered and contagious diseases may affect livestock.

He advised the livestock owners to keep their livestock at higher places in dry shads and to avoid marshy, unhygienic places during the rains and get their animals vaccinated against Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (H.S) and Anthrax in cattle and buffaloes and Pneumonia (CPP) & Anthrax in sheep and goat.

He further advised the livestock owners that in case of any emergency they can contact his Directorate on telephone No.022-9200990 or District Officer Livestock / Animal Husbandry of the concerned district.
