NCHD employees stage demo

Mithi, June 15, 2011 (PPI): A large number of employees and teachers of National Commission for Human Development staged demonstration outside local press club on Wednesday to lodge protest against reported closure of federal project that would render 16000 people jobless across the country.

Chanting slogans for their demands of securing jobs, they staged sit-in at Kashmir intersection that caused traffic jam for three hours.

It may be noted that NCHD has 220 schools in Tharparkar district with 318 employees and teachers. In entire Sindh the project has 5000 employees and teachers.

The NCHD employees demanded devolution of project and absorbing the employees in education department.
