Lee Myung Bak's Remarks Flayed

Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- Lee Myung Bak of south Korea, wining and dining at Chongwadae on June 7, said that "he would defend something with "a firm stand towards the south-north relations" and "there is no retreat".
Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a by-lined commentary in this regard:
What Lee said is just aimed to divert public criticism for the collapse of the inter-Korean relations.
Citing facts to prove that the source and motive of having brought the inter-Korean relations to collapse lie in the policy of confrontation persistently pursued by the south Korean authorities and their reckless political and military provocations, the commentary notes, and goes on:
Not only pro-reunification movement forces of south Korea but also organizations of different social circles and media are bitterly angered by the chief executive's reckless remarks about the issue of the inter-Korean relations and are strongly demanding him step down as early as possible.
No matter what rhetoric he may let loose to mislead the public opinion at home and abroad, it will get him nowhere.
