Vietnamese cultural official bids farewell to Lao Deputy Minister
VIENTIANE,JUNE.(KPL)- Outgoing Director of the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in Vientiane Pham Hong Toan yesterday bid farewell to Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Bosengkham Vongdala.
Deputy Minister Bosengkham highly valued the efforts and contribution of Mr. Pham had exerted and made during his time in Laos which had contributed to enhancing the cooperation on culture between Laos and Vietnam.
On 21 April, Information and Culture, representing the Lao government, pinned a Friendship Medal on Mr. Pham in recognition of his efforts in strengthening the relations and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam over the past five years of his work in Laos.
During his time in Laos, Mr. Pham has travelled to Phongsaly, Oudomxay, Sayaboury, Xiengkhuang, Savannakhet and Champassak provinces and organized cultural activities such as cultural shows, exhibitions, newspaper seminars, staff training, song contests and book reading competitions.
