Govt didn’t stop Nawaz from visiting Balochistan, Khurshid Shah


Islamabad, June 09, 2011 (PPI): Minister for Religious Affairs Khurshid Ahmad Shah Thursday said that the government has not stopped PML (N) Chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif from visiting Balochistan rather it is ready to extend all out facilities to him to visit and stay in the province.

He was responding to a point of order raised by PML (N) leader Abdul Qadir Baloch that the flight of PML (N) chief was inordinately delayed yesterday to stop him from visiting Balochistan. In protest, the PML (N) members also staged walk out from the house.

Khurshid Ahmad Shah said the PML (N) leader frequently uses the helicopter of Punjab Chief Minister and if he was really willing to visit Balochistan, he could use the same.

He asked Nawaz Sharif to go to Balochistan and work for the resolution of problems faced by the province. In this regard, he said the government will facilitate the PML (N) chief.

He said the PML (N) should not resort to such petty politics as the people will not accept it.

The federal minister said the present PPP government has rejected the politics of past and embarked upon the politics of reconciliation and harmony.
