U.S. Embassy announces start of submitting applications for the Fulbright program
Baghdad (NINA) - The U.S. embassy in Baghdad announced the start of filing applications for admission to the Fulbright program for teachers of foreign language (FLTA) for the year 2012-2013.
The embassy statement said today "the U.S. State Department is funding this program, which supports the goals of the Strategic Framework Agreement signed between the United States and Iraq."
It added "Fulbright FLTA takes nine months, in which no scientific rank is given, but, it allows young teachers the opportunity to hone their skills in teaching and raising skills in English and expand their knowledge of the cultures and customs of the United States, through their teaching Arabic to U.S. students and enhance their capacity in teaching foreign language in U.S. colleges and universities."
