ASPECTS OF CONTENT, IMPLEMENTATION MORE IMPORTANT TO STRENGTHEN ISLAMIC
PUTRAJAYA, Sept 9 (Bernama) - Aspects of content and methods for implementation are more important than intention or Islamic labels in trying to strengthen Islamic economy, said Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak.
He said smart ways with minimum risks must be considered for the purpose to
ensure long term success.
"Our religious spirit coupled with worldly knowledge can help us in the
task," he told reporters after opening a seminar on Islamic economy at the
Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) here Tuesday.
The one-day seminar was themed "The Need to Strengthen the Islamic Economy
in Smart Ways".
Najib also said all ministries and government agencies linked to the
matter needed to intensify efforts to produce a generation of Islamic
entrepreneurs in various fields.
He suggested they undertake a mentoring programme to get the desired
results.
