Iranian ambassador visits Najaf, discusses religious visits
Najaf (NINA) – Iranian ambassador Hassan Danae visited today Najaf city and met religious clerics and officials and discussed with them possibilities of increasing the number of Iranian visitors and expand cooperation horizons.
In a press conference held today after meeting with Sheikh Basheer Al Najafi, Danae said “the visit aims at increasing the number of visitors in addition to the projects carried out by the Iranian government in the province.”
For his part, Sheikh Ali, representative of cleric Najafi, said “the clergy asked the Iranian government to release the fishermen arrested by Iranian authorities while fishing in territorial waters.”
Najaf Governor, Adnan Al Zurfi, also, met the Iranian ambassador and discussed bilateral relations.
