Deputy premier meets UN decentralization expert

SANA'A, Sep 07 (Saba) - Deputy prime minister for internal affairs
Sadiq Ameen Abu Ras met on Sunday with the UN decentralization
expert in Sana'a Ala'a al-Din al-Shawa.

The meeting dealt with the national program for implementing the
national strategy for promoting decentralization.

The meeting also brought up the issue of setting up a technical unit
affiliated with the ministers council and that will be responsible
for coordination among ministries and government systems as well as
following up the program.

Furthermore, the meeting reviewed the concepts of the national
strategy for promoting decentralization consisting of terms
regarding the current situation of local authority, analyzing the
internal and external environments of this authority as well as
strategic trend to activate the developmental role of the
provincial authority and the strategy goals.
