Vietnam grants VND10 bln for kindergarten building in Savannakhet

VIENTIANE,MAY.(KPL) - Quang Binh province, Vietnam, has provided VND 10 billion to Savannakhet province to finance the construction of the Savannakhet –Quang Binh Friendship Kindergarten in Savannakhet province.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the school construction took place last Thursday at the construction site in municipality district Kaysone Phomvihane.
Present at the ceremony were Vice-Governor of Savannakhet, Mr. Khampeui Phanthachone, Deputy Director of Quang Binh Provincial International Cooperation Service, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Qi. Relevant officials of both sides witnessed the ceremony.
The school will be built to be a two-story building with five classrooms, office and other facilities.
“This school construction is one of several cooperation projects between the Party Committee of Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee and Savannakhet. It represents the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam,” said Mr. Khampeui.
He said that the assistance by Quang Binh contributed to the educational development and human resource development in Savannakhet province.
