New UNIDO Rep presents credentials to Foreign Deputy Minister
VIENTIANE,MAY.(KPL) - New Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, Mr. Chin Pen Chua, yesterday presented credentials to Lao Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hiem Phommachanh.
Mr. Hiem appreciated the appointment of Mr. Chin as new UNIDO Representative for the Lao PDR and told the diplomat that the Lao government thanked the UNIDO for its financial and technical assistance to the Lao PDR, which contributed to implementing the national strategy on modernization and industrialization of the country.
Mr. Chin expressed thanks to Mr. Hiem for his warm welcome and assured that the UNIDO would do its utmost in cooperating with the Lao government to implement cooperation programmes to ensure greater achievements.
