Foreign Policy Dept website launched
VIENTIANE.MAY.(KPL) - The Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s Trade Information Centre debuted yesterday a website of the Foreign Trade Policy Department, www.laoftpd.com, to facilitate information access of Lao business people who want to export products to the
U.S.
The website is designed to help business people access trade information of Laos, especially information of the Foreign Trade Policy Department and that of the World Trade Organisation, and promote Lao products in global market, said Director General of Foreign Trade Policy Department, Mr. Bounsom Phommavihane.
At the event, manuals on exporting Lao wood products to the U.S. market were distributed to the participants.
Mr. Bounsom said that the manuals included information on garment items, agricultural products, handicrafts, silk products and wood products.
The establishment of the website and Trade Information Centre as well as the development of the manuals are supported by the United States Agency for International Development, USAID.
