Lao students to gain new standard of Chinese language learning soon

VIENTIANE.MAY.(KPL) - Lao students will have more new option and access international standard course in learning Chinese language soon after Sengsavanh College has inked an Memorandum of Understanding on technical cooperation with Soochow University of P.R China.
The MoU was signed in Vientiane Capital, on 12 May between Mr. Khamsen Sisavong, President of Sengsavanh Education Group and Mr. Yin Aisun, Vice President of Soochow University in Jiangsu province of China in the witnesses of officials concerned.
Under the MoU, the Sengsavanh College will open a Chinese language Centre as the Soochow University will send experts and teachers for teaching, said Mr. Khamsen.
The centre is expected to be opened in Nongduang village, Sikhottabong district.
The intensive course on Chinese language is expected to launch for public next two months, he said, adding that the Lao students will also be given an opportunity to study Chinese language in China for a month.
The B.A courses in Chinese language, finance and management teaching in Chinese language will be conducted coming year, which is aimed at raising Lao education level as an international standard, Mr Khamsen went on.
A 10-year MoU has agreed on technical cooperation and experiences exchange in teaching Chinese language between two sides.
He has further stated that now Sengsavanh, a well-known private college has had cooperation with Bualapa University of Thailand and Universities of Ho Chinh Minh and Vinh of Vietnam.
The Soochow University has also planned to expand its campus to Laos.
