Three Tunisian Poets to Participate in the Revolutionary Poetry Festival

Doha , May 08 (QNA) - Three poets from the Tunisian Republic will participate in two poetry events on Sunday and Monday at Qatar's National Theater, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage.
The two events are part of the second edition of the Revolutionary Poetry Festival, the first edition was organized two weeks ago and joined by Egyptian poets. The three poets participating in Sunday's event are Khalid Al-Waghleni, Mohammed Amine bin Ali and Mabrouk el Sayari. While Jamel Asslei, Abdul Nasser Al-Owaini and Bilal Al-Rehani will participate in Monday's event.
Among this edition's guests of honor are Abdul Nasser Al Owaini and Ahmed Al Hefnawy. Owaini came into the spotlight when he broke the curfew to announce the victory of the Tunisian revolution, he said "Tunisia is free...glory to the Tunisian people...Bin Ali has fled". While Ahmed el Hefnawi stole the hearts of Arab viewers after the fleeing of Bin Ali when he pointed to his grey hair saying "because we grew old, we grew old dreaming of this historical moment".
