Babylon PC: US forces entrance to the city banned without prior approval

Hilla (NINA) – Chairman of Babylon Provincial Council, Kadhim Majeed Toman, confirmed that "the local government will prevent the entry of U.S. troops into the city without prior consent."
He said, in a press statement following a meeting held today at the Governorate HQ present by Governor Mohammed Al Masoudi, a number of MPs, and the Babylon PC members on the background of U.S. forces entry to the building of Criminal Court in the province recently "a lot of violations conducted by U.S. forces in the province without an Iraqi ability to file lawsuits against them according to the security agreement signed between the Iraqi and U.S. governments, while these forces have the right to file claims against Iraqis."
For his part, Governor of Babylon asserted "the people is the source of all authorities and it is the people’s right that we must protect its dignity, and whatever reason there was, the US forces are not entitled but to respect the agreement which requires entry of Iraqi patrols accompanying U.S. forces if they entered the city".
