Talabani praises the Army's role in preserving the country's security, stability

Baghdad (NINA) – President Jalal Talabani praised the role of the Iraqi Army in protecting the country's stability and carrying its task in a professional way, pointing out that everyone is proud of the Army who is defending the achievements realized and keep terrorism away from Iraq.

Talabani went on saying, during his meeting with a number of senior Iraq Kurdish military officers, "The Iraqi Army has achieved difficult tasks toward becoming a professional army that can carry out its role in protecting the citizens' security and stability."

He praised the Kurdish officers in the Army and have high military posts.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, General Babekir Zebari.
