Committee on Education Reform holds meeting
VIENTIANE,APRIL 21.(KPL) -National Committee on Education Reform held its fifth plenary session to evaluate the implementation of national strategy on education system reform, the resolution of the 8th Party Congress as well as education-related programmes stipulated in the national socio-economic development plan over the last five years.
The session was also aimed at exchanging viewpoints on educational development for 2011-2015 period to ensure the implementing national strategy on education system reform in the next five years and create favourable condition for achieving targets of education development, especially the production of quality human resources to meet the demand of socio-economic development cause.
Present at the Wednesday’s meeting were Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad who is also President of the National Committee on Education Reform, Minister of Education Phanhkham Viphavanh, and relevant officials.
